The Music Teaching Programme was established within the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Education in the 2021-2022 academic year.
Our department offers an 8-semester (4-year) programme at undergraduate level. The programme includes various subject courses such as individual and ensemble performance, learning Turkish and Western music instruments, and music theory.
Our students who graduate from our department with the title of “Music Teacher” can work in all public and private schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education.
Opportunities Offered to Students:
- Opportunity to learn foreign languages (free of charge),
- Opportunity to do a minor (with a scholarship for the normal duration of the major programme),
- Opportunity to do a double major (with a scholarship for the normal duration of the double major programme),
- Opportunity to study abroad through international exchange programmes (1 or 2 semesters),
- Opportunity to continue with master's programmes after graduation.
