Arabic Language Teaching (30% Arabic)

The Arabic Language Teaching undergraduate programme was opened within the Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Faculty of Education with the aims of contributing to science and education for our country in a globalizing world and producing knowledge for the welfare and happiness of humanity; training contemporary, linguistically qualified teachers who will teach Arabic to students in primary schools, lower secondary schools, high schools and İmam-Hatip high schools by creating contemporary educational environments; giving students communicative competence and language mastery skills in teaching Arabic; contributing to the training of teachers and support staff working in Arabic Language Teaching through in-service training programmes; and contributing to the education of specialists working in Arabic Language Teaching.

Opportunities Offered to Students:

  • Opportunity to learn foreign languages (free of charge),

  • Opportunity to do a minor (with a scholarship for the normal period of study plus one additional year),

  • Opportunity to do a double major (with a scholarship for the normal period of study plus one additional year),

  • Opportunity to study abroad through international exchange programmes (1 or 2 semesters),

  • Opportunity to continue with master's programmes after graduation.

They have job opportunities in all ministries where they are needed, above all the Ministry of National Education, as well as the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labour and the Ministry of Transport, and in units such as the Presidency of Religious Affairs, the General Directorate of Foundations and the General Directorate of State Archives.

  • They can work as interpreters and translators in embassies and consulates.

  • They can work as academics in the Arabic language departments of our universities.

  • They can be employed in the private sector due to the intensive relations with Arab countries.
