Located on our Halkalı Campus, our Practice Preschool provides education to the children of all academic and administrative staff working at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University within the framework of the Ministry of National Education Preschool Education Programme.
The Practice Preschool, serving the 3 & 6 age groups, consists of

The Practice Preschool has an 80-square-metre garden together with a winter garden and a play area. The schoolyard includes an outdoor play area with a playground and play equipment, as well as a lawn and a fruit and vegetable planting area.
EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Our preschool provides education in line with the Ministry of National Education Preschool Education Programme (2013). Our programme is based on the Ministry's learning outcomes and is supported by the Montessori approach and the use of Montessori materials where deemed appropriate. Educational content is planned according to the children's age, developmental level and readiness.
Our education programme includes additional classes such as Values Education, English and Gymnastics. The programme also features weekly film screenings and periodic field trips (theatre and other social activities).
Family involvement activities are a regular part of our programme. In addition, families may schedule appointments to meet with all of our teaching staff and administrators.
Our preschool continuously follows innovations and developments in early childhood education.
OUR MISSION
The mission of our practice preschool at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University is to support the physical, cognitive and emotional development of children aged 3-6 (36-72 months) and to help them acquire good habits in line with the general aims and fundamental principles of national education, to prepare them for primary school, and to enable them to speak Turkish correctly and eloquently.
OUR VISION
The vision of our practice preschool is:
To continue raising children in line with the goals and objectives of early childhood education, taking into account preschool children's developmental levels, interests and needs, while attaching importance to artistic and cultural activities, protecting children's rights and valuing family involvement.
To carry out original projects, research, and parent education and involvement activities concerning children, teachers and families.
To develop multidisciplinary programmes that bring children into close contact with science, taking their developmental characteristics into account.
