Under the coordination of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, and with the participation of the Participation Banks Association of Türkiye (TKBB) and the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), the project aims to have the complete set of accounting, auditing, governance, ethics and Shariah standards for Islamic financial institutions — developed since 1991 by AAOIFI, a non-profit international autonomous body, and regarded as the constitution of Islamic banking — translated into Turkish by a 17-member team of experts.
