LC Waikiki HR Manager Bahattin Aydın Met with İZÜ Students
LC Waikiki Human Resources General Manager Bahattin Aydın shared insights with students of İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University on how to stay resilient in the changing world of work. He advised students to take risks, continue striving to learn, and become individuals who “solve problems.”
Aydın was the guest of the “Meeting with Sector Leaders” program organized by the Career Center and the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences within the scope of the Central Orientation Seminars. The seminar titled “The Impact of HR” was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, İbrahim Güran Yumuşak, as well as academics and students.
Drawing on his corporate experience, Aydın offered a general perspective on the changing production mindset in the business world, human resource management, and the dynamics of global competition. He summarized his main motivation with the words: “I try to transform people’s potential into performance.”
Growth Dynamics Are Determined by Risk-Taking
Highlighting the importance of a risk-taking culture in institutional growth, Aydın noted that making the right decisions is critical for corporate sustainability in today’s business world. Emphasizing that decision-making processes are based on multi-layered analyses, he said, “The right decision affects profitability and capacity. At LC Waikiki, 2,000 people work to make these decisions.”
He also stressed that understanding consumer behavior plays a decisive role in competition, underlining the importance of an interdisciplinary perspective and referring to the transformation caused by digitalization.
Digital Transformation, Artificial Intelligence and Future Careers
Aydın stated that digitalization has created a fundamental turning point in the business world and that the pandemic period showed institutions the importance of investing in technology and adopting flexible working models.
“The most important agenda for companies is digital transformation. Integrating artificial intelligence into systems is also among the key priorities,” he said, noting that data and technological infrastructure have moved to the center of corporate structures.
Pointing out that artificial intelligence is transforming working life, Aydın advised students: “Don’t just solve questions—be people who solve problems. Read the general trend correctly.”
