Who Can Apply for Erasmus+ Student Study Mobility with Partner Countries?

Full-time students enrolled in the Islamic Economics and Finance Master's and International Finance and Participation Banking programmes of the Institute of Social Sciences.

How to Apply

The application process consists of 2 stages.

  2. Document Submission

Pre-Application

Pre-applications are received through the Erasmus+ Online Application System. (http://applyerasmus.izu.edu.tr)

If you are applying for the first time, the student e-mail address must be verified by clicking the "Register & Apply" section.

If you have applied before, you can access the application form by logging in to the application system with your student e-mail address and password.,

Document Submission

Once the pre-application is completed, the "Application Form" must be printed from the system, signed, and submitted to the Erasmus Office together with the documents required for the application. Your application will be checked after the documents have been submitted to the Erasmus Office.

If your application is eligible, your application status in the system will be updated by the Erasmus Office staff to "Approved by the Office".

You may visit the Erasmus Office to print the application form and the other documents.

During the application, notifications to the student are sent to the e-mail address used to log in to the system.

Documents Required for Application

  • Online Application Form. (Can be printed at the Erasmus Office.)
  • Documents certifying that the applicant is a relative of a martyr or veteran, has a disability, or is subject to a protection, care or shelter decision under Social Services Law No. 2828 must be uploaded to the online application system, if available. (The originals of these documents must subsequently be presented to the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office.)
  • During the application, the student must upload an official (signed and sealed) transcript obtained from the Directorate of Student Affairs showing their cumulative grade point average at the time of application.

Minimum Requirements

In order to take part in the activity, students must first meet the following minimum requirements

  • Being a Master's student of the Institute of Social Sciences in Islamic Economics and Finance or International Finance and Participation Banking,
  • Being a full-time student (having the obligation to take 30 ECTS of courses / to complete a thesis)
  • Having a cumulative academic grade point average of at least 2.50/4.00,
  • Documentation of English language proficiency at B2 level,
  • If the student has previously benefited from higher education mobility activities under Erasmus+ or the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) within the current study cycle, the total duration including the new activity must not exceed 12 months.

Selection Criteria

The evaluation criteria and weighted scores used in assessing mobility applications are as follows:

For students selected for mobility: failure, without a valid excuse, to attend the meetings/training sessions organised by the higher education institution in connection with the mobility (applied if the student applies for Erasmus again.)

*Priority is given to combat veterans and their spouses and children, as well as the spouses and children of war martyrs; the spouses and children of "public officials who, while performing their duties at home or abroad, or even after their status has ended, have been wounded, disabled, died or been killed as a result of acts of terrorism because of the performance of those duties" pursuant to Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law No. 3713 dated 12/4/1991; and, pursuant to Article 7 of Decree Law No. 667 dated 23 July 2016, the spouses and children of those who lost their lives as a result of the coup attempt and terrorist act carried out on 15 July 2016 and the acts that followed it, as well as civilians who were disabled and their spouses and children, when they apply for Erasmus+ student mobility.

**For prioritisation, the student must present a letter from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies stating that a protection, care or shelter decision has been taken in respect of them under Law No. 2828.

***The application of "-10 points" for previous participation does not apply to mobilities carried out at a previous study cycle or to mobilities other than higher education student/traineeship mobility. It applies where a student who has already carried out a mobility applies again within the same study cycle.

Erasmus+ Mobility with Grant Option

Under the Erasmus+ Programme, selected students may receive an Erasmus+ grant to cover their living expenses during the mobility period. The Erasmus+ grant is a contribution and may not cover 100% of the expenses incurred before and during the mobility (such as visa, accommodation, flight tickets and living expenses). In such cases, the student must cover the remaining amount themselves.

Erasmus+ Mobility without Grant Option

Students may exercise this right either by selecting the "I can participate without a grant" option on the online form during the application or by notifying the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office after the results are announced. Whether selected with or without a grant, Erasmus+ students do not pay tuition, registration and examination fees or library usage fees to the university they attend.

Additional Grant Opportunity for Persons with Special Needs

Students with disabilities may receive an additional grant for their mobility according to their specific needs. For detailed information, please contact the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office.
