Course Objective
Based on the general definitions and meanings of sociology, it teaches the definitions and meanings of sociology of sports, the relations between sports and society, the impact of sports on society, the perspectives of different layers of society on sports, its role in the formation of social status, its impact on social changes and the social mobility it creates.
Course Content
This course will explain the meaning of sports from a sociological perspective. Introduction to sociology, basic sociological concepts, introduction to the sociology of sports, sociological theories, socialization and sports, social sustainability in sports, women in sports, sports ethics, and violence in sports constitute the content of the course.
