Course Objective
To teach students the basic techniques specific to the tennis branch, tennis game rules, and to introduce the court and equipment.
Course Content
It covers the basic techniques and teaching methods specific to the tennis branch, game rules, field equipment and the application of the AOS test.

Explanations
Knowledge Exams (Theoretical Assessment)
Content: Tennis rules, scoring system, hitting techniques, court dimensions, equipment knowledge.
Exam Types: Multiple choice, classic questions.
Objective: To measure the student's understanding and ability to recall theoretical knowledge.
Practical Exams (Practical Assessment)
Content: Shots such as forehand, backhand, serve, volley, smash, lob, drop shot; in-game strategy applications; court usage and equipment knowledge.
Exam Types: Individual or group applications, mini-matches, AOS test or performance measurement. Objective: To evaluate whether the student can correctly apply their technical skills, game knowledge and court usage. Grade Evaluation

Theoretical exams: 40%
Practical performance: 60%

Tennis Lessons – Rules and Reminders
Attendance
Punctual attendance is mandatory.
Absence negatively impacts the practical and theoretical achievements of the course.
Appropriate sportswear and tennis shoes are required for attendance.
Clothing and Equipment Use
Rackets, balls, and other equipment must be used carefully.
Only tennis shoes are allowed on the courts.
Class Discipline
Following instructor instructions is mandatory.
It is necessary to avoid damaging the court and equipment and to adhere to safe play rules.
Cooperation and respect are paramount during group activities.
Health and Safety
Warm-up and stretching exercises should be performed before the start of the lesson.
Students at risk of injury must inform the class.
Be careful when running or hitting the ball on the court. Evaluation and Participation
Active participation in in-class activities directly contributes to the success grade.
Course Learning Outcomes
- The student learns the basic rules of tennis and the different types of tennis strokes.
- Students develop collaboration and communication skills in individual and group work.
- By the end of the tennis lesson, the student will be familiar with basic equipment such as tennis courts, rackets, balls, clothing, and shoes, explain their features, and practice their correct use.
- By the end of the tennis lesson, the student will be familiar with different types of tennis courts, their dimensions and line layouts, know the materials used in court construction and maintenance, and be able to apply basic maintenance practices.
- At the end of the tennis lesson, the student applies basic strokes such as forehand, backhand, serve, volley, smash, lob, and drop shot with correct technique and evaluates their performance by participating in the AOS test.
