Course Objective

To provide physical education teacher candidates with basic knowledge and skills specific to the football sport branch.

Course Content

Definition, history, basic stances, basic movements, strategies and tactics of the relevant team sport, individual and team defense, team attack, game systems, rules, knowledge, practice, observation, error detection and teaching knowledge/skills.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Learns and applies the teaching steps of basic skills specific to football
  2. Designs correctly the drills of the teaching steps of basic skills specific to football.
  3. Makes selections of football teaching drills appropriate to age groups.
  4. Understands and applies the subject of warming up and cooling down in football.
  5. Designs training methods and drills according to basic motoric characteristics in football.
  6. He/she will have the knowledge and equipment to compensate for the lack of appropriate materials during football teaching.
