Course Objective

This course familiarises the students with the Islamic Banking, Islamic capital market, Islamic money market, takaful and other special topics in Islamic Finance.  This would enable students to apply the knowledge that they get from this course in making economic decisions as well as assisting them to comprehend and evaluate the current economic situations.

Course Content

The objectives of this course are:

1.To enable students to understand the operations of Islamic banks;

2.To examine the various structures of sukuk and Islamic equities;

3.To compare the conventional and Islamic insurances;

       4. To Familiarize with the other components of Islamic finance;
