Course Learning Outcomes

  1. The general framework of the urbanization.
  2. Students will examine a critical view of urban reconstruction and its socio-spatial consequences, especially after the 1980s, in the world;
  3. Students will explore the different urban dynamics and problems that arise in late industrialized / capitalist cities.
  4. The students will explore the different urban dynamics and problems that arise in the context of Turkey.
  5. Students will learn the dynamics of urbanization in cities and the theories that explain sociological change in a comparative way
  6. They learn about the institutions, actors and processes of cities.
  7. It has knowledge about the historical formation and development of cities.
