Course Objective

Manevi Danışma ve Rehberlik Teolojisi dersi, temelde din ve maneviyat olmak üzere literatürde eş anlamlara gelen ilgili kavramları analiz etmek; manevi danışma ve rehberlikte genel olarak semavi dinlerin özelde İslamî teolojin dayandığı dini temelleri ortaya koymak; dinlerde ve İslam’da dini ve manevi danışmanlık anlayışı ve tekniklerin referans ve uygulama alanlarını ve örneklerini öğretmektir. 
Özelde ise Hz. Peygamber’in manevi rehberliği ekseninde çağdaş yöntem ve teknikleri karşılaştırmalı olarak incelemeyi amaçlar.

Course Content

Concepts of religion and spirituality, spiritual counseling and guidance in the theologies of monotheistic religions, divine and prophetic foundations, principles and references of spiritual counseling and guidance in Islamic theology, examples of spiritual advice and guidance in the prophetic ideal. Comparative analysis of contemporary MDR approaches with Prophetic examples, examination of current problems on the axis of Islamic culture through case studies.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Knows basic MDR concepts; distinguishes different perspectives.
  2. Knows and gives examples of MDR references and perspectives from Jewish and Christian theology.
  3. Knows the MDR sources and references of Islam in the Qur'an and Sunnah and explains it with examples.
  4. Hz. Knows, analyzes and synthesizes the examples of MDR in the life of the Prophet by comparing them with contemporary MDR approaches.
  5. Recognizes the MDR ideal, strategies and techniques in Islamic civilization and culture and knows how to use them.
  6. It makes the right and healthy approach and intervention to current MDR problems with an Islamic perspective.
