Course Objective
Comprehend how the process works in a scientific research, gain the ability to prepare a scientific report and gain an understanding of scientific evaluation, know the ethical rules in scientific research and apply it in scientific studies.
Course Content
Basic concepts and approaches of scientific research; research process and methods; report preparation techniques; forms of quotation and bibliography; research model; universe sampling; data collection techniques; processing and analyzing data; Results; results, discussions and recommendations; preparing a sample report, ethics in scientific research.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Express the difference between quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Design the research process; Selects the research topic. Define the research problem. Explains the purpose and importance of research. Determine the research method. Determines the universe and sample. Selects or improves the data collection tool. Know how to do the analysis in the research. Interpret the findings.
- Scans scientific sources, learns the principles of writing and applies
- Know and apply independent report preparation techniques.
- Learn to read prepared reports.
- Know the ethical principles of scientific research, pay attention and apply.
