Course Objective
To be able to understand the conceptualizations of psychological counseling theories, to be able to learn what applications and theories in the consultation process and to evaluate different theoretical perspectives.
Course Content
Basic psychological counseling theories, principles and techniques underlying the theories, new developments and trends in psychological counseling practices. Basic psychological counseling theories, comparison of theories, comprehension of strengths and weaknesses of different theories in different situations, application areas and expansions of theories in counseling process.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Consulting principles and techniques are applied according to different situations
- Using counseling principles and techniques, it develops awareness and sensitivity in society about the different needs of people.
