Course Objective
The aim of this course is for students to see what philosophy is, secondly, what is Islamic philosophy, and thirdly, what are the sources of Islamic philosophy.
Thus, it is possible to make a comparison between the thought systems of Islamic thought and pre-Islamic civilizations and cultures, and in this way, the philosophical, theological and wisdom meaning of the Islamic.

Course Content
In this course, internal and external sources of Islamic philosophy are discussed in detail.
Pre-Islamic Greek thought, Indian thought, Iranian thought, Egyptian thought, Mesopotamian thought and the relationship between these thought traditions and Islamic philosophy are examined.

The lectures will be treated in the form of presentations by students and scientific debates around these presentations.
Therefore, active participation in the lesson is required.
