ECTS: 7.5 T+P+L: 3+0+0 Departmental Elective
Coordinator: Doç. Dr. Serap ANDAÇ
Course Objective
Epigenetics is to learn the etiology-related bases of human nutrition, environmental factors and nutrition-related diseases, to identify the possible mechanisms of these relationships, and to interpret the results of these relationships in animal studies and epidemiological studies.
Course Content
In this course, basic genetic concepts, DNA methylation, histone modification and so on. mechanisms that alter gene expression through nutrition, and the role of these processes in the formation and / or prevention of nutrition-related diseases.
