Course Objective

Hz. The mushafs copied by Osman have their own spelling. This spelling, called "Resm-i Osmani", differs from "analogy" at some points. This spelling is generally complied with in mushaf writing. Hz. The Prophet did not leave a written text that he approved officially, and the generation of Companions did this after his death. Hz. Abu Bakr formed a mushaf, then Hz. Osman wanted the mushafs he had copied to be taken as basis. Therefore, all issues related to mushaf Hz. It is based on the first mushafs that Uthman reproduced. With the orthographic system that the Arabic language scholars developed in the later periods and which they largely unified, this was called analogy to Hz. Osman gave importance to determining the differences between the orthography in mushafs, and with their efforts, a branch of science emerged under the name of official mushaf. With this aspect, resmu'l-mushaf, every word in the Quran is Hz. It focuses on the determination of how each of the Ottoman mushafs are depicted and the explanation of their possible reasons. In the later written mushafs, although this implication is mostly respected, applications that partially differ from this spelling can be seen. The aim of the course is to touch upon the studies on official-mushaf with all its aspects since history.
