Course Objective
The exegesis texts aim to get to know the exegesis literature that has been formed throughout history more closely.
It provides direct information about the exegetes and their exegesis in terms of both method and content.
It helps to obtain satisfactory information about the meaning framework of the texts by getting to know the exegesis literature of different schools read during the period.
Course Content
The course aims to inform the student about tafsir and its methods by reading different tafsir texts in Turkish and Arabic. In this respect;
1. Selections are made from tafsir written in different periods and read.
2. Examples are presented from Rivayet and Dirayet tafsir.
3. Sample texts from lexical, jurisprudential, sectarian, ishari and modern tafsir texts are read.
4. Examples of tafsir written in different languages are given.
5. Texts from thematic tafsir examples are read.
Course Learning Outcomes
- He gains knowledge about tafsir and commentators by seeing and reading them.
- He/she will be familiar with the interpretations of Rivayet and Dirayet and will learn the differences between them.
- Learn the development of tafsir throughout history.
- Acquires direct knowledge about the types of tafsir and methodologies that have emerged throughout history.
