Course Objective

The aim of this course is to lay the foundations of Islamic finance.

Course Content

Firstly, the background of Islamic finance will be examined. Then, the current structure of Islamic finance will be revealed. Following these, the building blocks of Islamic finance will be examined one by one under the following headings; Islamic banking, Islamic insurance, Islamic funds and capital markets, Islamic microfinance. Finally, current issues on Islamic finance will be addressed and problems will be examined.
