Course Objective

To gain the basic concepts, knowledge and skills required for modern logistics management approaches and strategies needed in today's healthcare management. To train logistics managers who have the concept, knowledge and skills to ensure that the right input is included in the process at the right time, in the right amount, under the right conditions and at the best cost in order to sustain the production of healthcare services effectively, efficiently and uninterruptedly.

Course Content

To equip students with up-to-date knowledge and skills in the field of logistics management in health services and to prepare them for the relevant management levels in both public and private health institutions. In doing so, it is aimed not only to limit the operational transactions, but also to gain a strategic perspective towards management practices that will gain competitive advantage. In the Logistics Management in Health Services course, the student is expected to gain the necessary technical, statistical and conceptual knowledge and skills about planning, purchasing, storage, stock management, transportation, preparation for use, consumption and recycling / waste management, which constitute the material management cycle in health services.
