Course Objective

Making students gain information on what biotechnology is, basic information on genes and genomes, recombinant DNA technology, protein production, microbial biotechnology, plant biotechnology, biotechnology regulations and ethical issues.

Course Content

Biotechnology types, cell structure, DNA, RNA, protein synthesis, control of gene expression, mutations, recombinant DNA technology, protein production, microbial biotechnology, plant biotechnology, biotechnology regulations and ethical issues.
