Course Objective

It aims to improve the skills of the students to analyse and to criticize along with an evaluation in reading poetry especially in the English Renaissance Period. This improvement will involve necessarily the acquirement of an extensive background concerning historical and social context of the age. Besides, the poetic trends of the age, the poetic arts of the poetic figures will contribute much to do such evaluations.

Course Content

It covers the poetic traditions, poetic trends and poetic developments of the period; The poets and their poems will dealt with deeply to provide the students with the ability to analyse and comment in the Renaissance Period.
