Explanations
There will be one project assignment, one midterm exam, and one final exam at the end of the semester.
1. For projects to be presented at the end of the semester, the relevant topics and groups must be determined by the sixth week at the latest. Project presentation dates will then be announced later in the semester.
2. Exam dates are as announced in the table. Exam topics will be announced a reasonable time in advance. Make-up exams will be given for exams missed due to excuses accepted in accordance with IZU regulations.
3. The dates, times, and locations of the midterm and final exams will be announced by the Institute/Dean's Office.
4. If Assignment 1 and the Final Project Presentation are submitted later than the announced date, 20 points will be deducted.
5. Midterm Exams (Written Projects) will not be accepted after the deadline.
Rules
1. Attendance: According to regulations, if a student misses 30% of the total class time, they are marked as absent (DZ) and fail the course.
2. The instructor has the right to take attendance at any time in class.
3. Late Arrival: You are expected to not only arrive at class but also to participate in class on time. Please note that arriving late to three classes will count as one complete absence. Late arrival is defined as: attending class after the first 15 minutes of class and the instructor taking attendance.
4. Getting Help: Asking questions about the course during class or during office hours and learning the material on time is crucial for your education. We encourage our students to seek assistance when necessary.

In cases of unethical behavior such as plagiarism or cheating, disciplinary proceedings will be initiated in accordance with IZU's relevant regulations, and you will be subject to the necessary penalties.
6. The evaluations specified in this syllabus are fixed, and no additional compensatory assessments will be made to increase your grade.
