Course Objective
To give information about artistic, sociological, architectural history and conservation problems and urban cultures of Istanbul where have the architectural traces of ancient, Byzantine, Ottoman and Republican periods together and is in the World Heritage List.
Course Content
The history of architecture of Istanbul, evaluation of urban identity together with the concepts of city identity, place and importance of monuments in social and structured environment, examination of urban morphology and architecture relation.
