Course Objective

Human being as a thinking entity has established various societies in which thinking activities have taken place under various forms. Philosophy is one of these. The discipline of History of Philosophy aims to know various philosophical streams and their representatives that have come forward throughout human history. The primary target of this course is to introduce various philosophical ideas to students, thus lend them more coherent, profound and methodic thinking skills. 

Course Content

Starting from the phenomena of Philosophy and History of Philosophy, Chinese, Indian, African, Greek, Roman, South American and European philosophies will be elaborated via selected representatives. 

Required Resources

The reader to be provided to students' access ("Derleme").

At least 70% attendance is mandatory.
