Course Objective
The aim of this course is to have knowledge about the ancient periods and manuscripts of Ottoman Turkish and to gain the ability to read manuscripts.
Course Content
Texts written in the Anatolian field are examined. These texts are; spelling, sound, structure and vocabulary. In addition, the situations that may be encountered in manuscripts are emphasized.

Ottoman Turkish course is learned with theory, but practice is essential. Practice the relevant section from Hayati Develi's Osmanlı Türkçesi Kılavuzu, which is shown in the list of resources after each lesson, and read the texts.
There are texts at the back of the book. Read these texts from the first week.
Lugate yiğitlik olmaz.
It is a valid expression for all languages, including Ottoman Turkish. Dictionary is an indispensable basis in text studies. For every word we do not know, we should look up the dictionary without being lazy. For words we know we should look up twice. Our minds deceive us.
