Course Objective
This course is a continuation of PSK 205 Cognitive Psychology I. This course provides an in-depth exploration of human cognition, focusing on both classic and current issues. The study of cognition relies heavily on experimental research designed to test models and theories of cognitive processes.
The goals for students who complete this course is;
1. To analyze, evaluate, compare and associate new experimental results with these theories in cognitive psychology.
2. To have knowledge about cognitive functions.
3. To understand the relationship between Cognition & Behavior & Brain.
4. To understand research methods in cognitive psychology, the strengths and weaknesses of these methods and to learn about methods for measuring mind and brain function.
Course Content
In this course, we will explore; The Organization of Knowledge in the Mind, Language, Speech Perception Theories, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Reasoning.
