Course Objective

The course aims to introduce key events, major figures, and intellectual currents that played an important role in the formation of modern Turkey.

Course Content

The course will cover key events, major figures, and intellectual currents that played an important role in the formation of modern Turkey. The course will also introduce to students different approaches to the study of modern Turkish republic and its constitutive ideas or principles.
