Course Objective

This course aims to teach the characteristics and reading techniques of the documents in the Ottoman archives.

Course Content

Each week linguistic and calligraphic characteristics of a type of the archival document is analyzed and an original archival documents is read.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Students would have learned the linguistic and calligraphic characteristics of the Ottoman archival documents during the classes and they would have read these documents.
