Course Objective
The aim of the course; students who learn the basic rules of Ottoman Turkish and the elements of Turkish spelling are taught Arabic and Persian elements that are widely used in this writing language so that they can master Ottoman Turkish knowledge in the middle level. In addition, in this course Arabic and Persian words, to read the printed texts and full of the ability to gain the ability to understand; It is also aimed to read the simple texts written in nesih, rik'a and talik texts outside the printed form.
Course Content
Ottoman Turkish is the language of our ancestors. Learning this language is very important to us Turks; because through this writing we should teach the history and culture of a long period belonging to our past to future generations with the help of this writing. With this thought, in our class, the general arrangement of the Ottoman Turkic is emphasized on the Arabic and Persian elements and the texts are being read with the Ottoman Turkic and printed with rik'a, nesih and talik.

Course Learning Outcomes
- The student can produce new words from Arabic word roots. He/She can recognize and distinguish words from the same root.
- The student can find patterns of Arabic words.
- The student can read and understand including the constructions of Arabic and Persian printed texts.
- The student can distinguish Arabic and Persian structures and he /she can give means to them.
- The student can rewrite the given text with the transcription alphabet.
