Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the judicial system, which is one of the professional practice areas of social work students, the nature and scope of crime, and the roles and duties of social workers in the judicial system.

Course Content

In this course, what is forensic social work, the necessary approach in forensic social work, the historical development of forensic social work, the purpose of forensic social work, crime theories, the roles and duties of social workers in different units of the judicial system will be discussed.
