Course Objective

The aim of this course is to provide the students with an understanding of how to handle these events on the basis of life cycle events, life crises, social service knowledge, starting from young adulthood and from old age and death within the framework of ecological and social system.

Course Content

adulthood, vital crises, middle adulthood, family life cycle, marital life and crises, conflict, middle age crises, old age, successful survival, old age theories, problems, death loss and grief with some behavioral disorders.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Understanding the characteristics of adulthood, middle adulthood in the framework of ecological-system approach
  2. to deal with the general characteristics of the aging period within the ecological-system approach
  3. be able to evaluate the crises of adulthood and old age in the framework of ecological-system approach
  4. to understand and deal with death and mourning processes in social service context
