Course Objective
The primary objective of this course is to equip students with both theoretical and practical understanding of effective communication techniques. The course aims to enable students to manage public speaking anxiety, utilize their voice correctly through diaphragm and breath control, and speak Turkish intelligibly (articulate) in accordance with diction rules. Furthermore, it intends to train professional speakers who can establish strong interaction with the audience by gaining competence in stage presence, body language usage, and technology-supported presentation preparation processes.

Rules
Regular attendance is very important. Students whose absenteeism exceeds 70% will not be allowed to take the final presentation.
Please do not knock on the door when entering the class. You may enter the classroom directly at any time.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you cannot sign for the first hour.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes late, you cannot sign for the second hour.
These rules have been established to ensure that classes are conducted and followed in an orderly manner.
Not being able to sign the attendance sheet does not prevent you from attending the class. Students who arrive outside these time limits may attend the class without signing and may leave the class whenever they wish.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students will learn how to use body language correctly.
- Studentswill learn how to use diaphragmatic breathing.
- Gets aware on the subjects of right breathing, right voice, articulation, pronunciation, intonation, stop, emphasis, flow of words, style, gestures and mimics.
- Learns to speak right and good, the significance of sounds, pronunciation, emphases, intonation; performance of stops for meaning and excitement in accordance with rules.
- Learns the significance of the art of elocution.
- The students will gain the ability to make prepared and unprepared speech.
- Students will learn to plan and prepare speeches for special occasions.
- The students will gain the ability to use their voice according to the rules of diction.
- The students will gain the ability to speak in front of the public.
- The Use of Turkish efficiently
- Uses fluent and grammatical speech free of filler words (e.g., um, uh).
- Effectively manages presentation time and materials without boring the audience.
