Course Objective
The aim of this course is to enable the students to comprehend general knowledge of the areas of social work discipline.
Course Content
An overview of the social work interventions that can be carried out in areas such as social work with children, social work with young people, social work with the elderly, social work with disabilities, arts and social work, medical social work, judicial social work and school social work.
Course Learning Outcomes
- Students would be able to define the functions of orphanages.
- Students would be able to define different types of clients.
- Students would be able to define the roles of NGO's
- Students would be able define the fields of social work
- Students would be able to list the specific institutions of social work.
- Students would be able to explain the history of social work institutions.
- Students would be able to define the roles of community centers
- Students would be able to define the functions of nursing homes.
