Course Objective
The aim of this course is to teach various acute and chronic diseases seen in childhood, to emphasize the importance of nutrition in pediatric diseases, to introduce current dietary practices related to childhood disorders, and to encourage students to participate in academic research.
Course Content
The course content includes clinical case follow-up, nutrition of premature infants, enteral and parenteral nutrition, acute gastroenteritis, malnutrition, lactose intolerance and other carbohydrate malabsorptions, infectious diseases, childhood obesity, metabolic syndrome, eating behavior disorders, renal diseases, oncological diseases, and their corresponding nutrition therapies.
