Course Objective

The aim of the course is to define general anatomical terms and basic knowledge of the human body systems and the organs within these systems, and to teach students to identify the organs in the body region related to a patient's complaints and establish relationships between them.

Course Content

This course covers topics related to the anatomical locations and characteristics of human organs and systems. Following the teaching of Latin, the general language of anatomy, and its equivalents in basic anatomical structures, the course aims to explain the positions, neighbors, blood vessels, nerves, and interrelationships of the organs that make up the human body using models, enabling students to recognize both their own body and that of a patient.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. The student explains the relationship between tissues, organs, and systems.
  2. The student defines the general concepts related to human anatomy.
  3. The student uses the terminology related to human anatomy.
  4. The student studies human anatomy systematically.
  5. The student classifies the systems according to their anatomical characteristics.
  6. The student establishes the relationship between the body’s regions and its mechanics.
