Course Objective
The aim of the course is to enable students to learn the basic professional terms used in the field of nutrition and dietetics, use them correctly, and apply them effectively in professional communication.
Course Content
This course aims to enable students to learn the basic professional terms used in the field of nutrition and dietetics, use them correctly, and apply them effectively in professional communication. At the beginning of the course, a general overview of the dietetics profession will be presented, emphasizing the importance of professional terminology and covering fundamental concepts related to health and nutrition. Subsequently, basic nutrition terms such as macronutrients and micronutrients, as well as concepts related to energy and metabolism, will be examined. Within the scope of clinical nutrition terminology, conditions such as malnutrition, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, as well as enteral and parenteral nutrition methods and various types of diets, will be addressed.

- Evaluates terminology accurately and effectively within clinical and practical contexts.
- Demonstrates proficiency in research and academic terminology and conducts literature reviews.
- Establishes effective communication with patients and the team by using correct terminology in professional communication.
