Course Objective
This course aims to provide a broad introduction to psychology science to its participants. The course is designed to serve as a guide to understand human behavior and attitudes in general and in business life with their antecedents, consequences and the processes that are working on the basis of them. The course will also be providing valuable insights and implications on work life and a basis for understanding human side of management.

Rules
1- Lectures will be held twice a week for 14 weeks.
2- Each lecture will last 45 minutes, with one 15-minute break.
3- Assessment will consist of one mid-term and one final exam per term.
4- Course slides, supplementary resources, and materials will be shared via the Campus Information System. Slides and materials for the relevant week's class will be uploaded to the Campus Information System as PDF files on the first Friday following the class day.
5- The midterm exam will account for 40% of the final grade, and the final exam will account for 60% of the final grade.
6- The midterm and final exams will be multiple-choice tests.
7- Each exam will be graded during the first lecture hour following the exam, and students will be able to review their exam papers during this lecture hour.
8- Attendance is mandatory for 70% of the course.
9- In order for a student not to fall below the 70% attendance rate, they must attend classes for at least 10 out of 14 weeks.
10- Oversleeping, obtaining a doctor's note, being ill, travelling, going home, or doing a double major/minor are not valid excuses for violating the course framework.
11- The presence of a doctor's note does not mean that students can exceed the 70% attendance rate.
12- The total absence rate, including sick leave, must not exceed 30%.
13- Attendance will be monitored by means of a signature system in classes.
14- Signatures on the class attendance sheet will be checked at the end of the third class period. Students should only sign for the class period they attended or plan to attend.
15- Student attendance rates will be recorded in the Campus Information System every week. Students must monitor their weekly absence rates and, if they believe there is an error (if a student signed but their signature is not recorded in the attendance sheet for that week), they must make an appointment to inform the course instructor of the situation and request an evaluation.
16- Signing on behalf of another student is strictly prohibited under any circumstances.
17- Students who wish to ask questions about the course or request a meeting to discuss ideas, suggestions, criticism, advice, etc., must contact the instructor via email and make an appointment.
18- Students writing emails are expected to introduce themselves and state the reason for their email in accordance with basic rules of courtesy.
19- Students should carefully read the course syllabus and course outline before writing an email.
20- Students who wish to send an email must do so between 08:30 and 17:30.
21- I will respond to emails within three business days at the latest. If a student does not receive a response to their email within this period, they may resend the email.

Course Learning Outcomes
- Duyguların davranışlara etkisini fark eder. Bilinç, bilinçaltı gibi kavramları öğrenir. Dil, düşünme, zekâ gibi kavramları bilir.
- Duygum, algılama, öğrenme, bellek, güdülemeyi ve bunlara etki eden süreçleri öğrenir.
- Kişilik, kişilik gelişimi ile onu şekillendiren süreçlerin farkındadır. Ruh sağlığı, patoloji kavramlarını bilir, ruh sağlığı açısından normal ve normal olmayan davranışları ayırt eder.
- Psikoloji konusunu kavrar. Psikolojinin bilim dalı olma sürecini, amaçlarını ve ölçütlerini bilir. Psikolojinin alt dallarını, iş alanlarını, diğer bilimler ile ilişkilerini kavrar.
- Psikolojik gelişimin yaşam boyu devam ettiğini, gelişim dönemlerini, kalıtımın ve çevrenin davranışın üzerindeki etkilerini bilir.
