Course Objective
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge about wound diagnosis and evaluation, wound healing stages, wound healing complications, wound care products, new developments in wound care, and to be able to apply nursing management in wound care.
Course Content
The place and importance of wound care nursing, its situation in the world and in Turkey, structure and physiology of the skin, definition of the wound, wound healing process and affecting factors, types of wounds requiring care and nursing care, general wound care principles, new technologies in wound care.

Explanations
Evaluation of the course:
Success: 30% Midterm + 20% Homework + 50% Final exam = 100%
Midterm and final exams of the course will consist of 75% multiple choice questions and 25% weight open-ended questions.
In the homework of the lesson, each student will prepare a 6-10 page compilation and submit it as a report in a word file, using the resources provided for the care of one of the stoma or wound types.
It will be evaluated over 100 points based on homework writing and resource use.
Rules
Students are required to attend the class by 70%. Each student must follow the attendance status. Students who fail to meet the attendance requirement cannot attend the Final and make-up exam. It is mandatory to enter the course on time.
