Course Objective
The purpose of this course is to provide the basic educational skills necessary for the nurse to maintain her educational role and responsibilities in protecting, developing, treating and rehabilitating the health of healthy/patients, families and society in accordance with the needs of the country.
Course Content
This course includes the role and responsibilities of the nurse as an educator, implementation of the stages of the education process (determining educational needs by collecting data, determining educational goals and objectives, creating the appropriate content and learning environment, preparing the education plan and program, preparing educational materials, applying optimum methods, techniques, and strategies, evaluating education with measurement and evaluation methods and tools), education of patients and their families, in-service training, and effective presentation techniques.
Rules
Attendance is required for 70% of theoretical hours and 80% of practical hours. Each student must monitor their own attendance. Students who fail to meet the attendance requirement are not eligible to take final or make-up exams.
Students are expected to attend class on time and fulfill their homework and other responsibilities.
