Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable nursing students to adopt the palliative care approach in individuals with life-threatening or chronic progressive illnesses and their families, and to understand and apply the roles and responsibilities of nurses at a clinical level in symptom management, patient- and family-centered care, ethical decision-making, effective communication, and end-of-life care processes.

Course Content

This course addresses the roles and responsibilities of nurses in symptom management, patient- and family-centered care, ethical decision-making, effective communication, and end-of-life care processes within the framework of the palliative care approach for individuals with life-threatening or chronic progressive illnesses.
