Course Objective

The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills in providing nursing care to patients who need urgent intervention, using sensitive, ethical legal and professional values, and using correct and updated information.
 

 

Course Content

This course covers the roles and responsibilities of the emergency nurse, the features of the emergency room, triage in the emergency service, basic and advanced life, poisoning and emergency care with traumatic patients, emergency care in hot and cold injuries, first aid and care in drowning, neurological, cardiac, respiratory, psychiatric, obstetric emergency care, emergency care and safety in the elderly and child, necessary precautions and care in case of infectious and nuclear and biological and disaster situations, ethical, legal and professional responsibilities in emergency service.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. To define the roles and functions of the emergency nurse nursing,
  2. To know and apply the importance of triage in the emergency clinic
  3. Knowing basic and advanced life support and assisting advanced life support
  4. To be able to apply nursing care to trauma and multi-trauma patient
