Course Objective

To comprehend addiction within the scope of theoretical knowledge and to recognize the roles and responsibilities of nurses in the field of addiction.

Course Content

Basic concepts and definitions; types of addiction; causes of addiction, risk factors that prepare the person for the addiction process; communication skills in dependent individuals; consequences of addiction; addiction treatment models; It includes methods of coping with addiction and the role of the nurse.

  12. Defines the objectives of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention in substance abuse prevention.
