ECTS: 5 T+P+L: 3+0+0 Departmental Elective
Coordinator: Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Yasemin YILMAZER

Course Objective

1. To provide the students to acquire the genetic mechanisms of development

2. To explain the students plants, invertebrate and vertebrate development

3. To explain the students the role of genetic factors in differentiation

Course Content

This course includes understanding the genetics of development in invertebrates and in vegetative and animal organisms,  extracellular factors affecting genes during differentiation,  and intercellular interactions during organ formation.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Learn the molecular structure of genetic mechanisms which are responsible for the development of invertebrate, plants and animal organisms
  2. Understand the concepts of division and morphogenesis
  3. Comprehend the importance of genetic factors in differentiation and the importance of the role of cytoplasm
  4. Have information about extracellular factors affecting genes during differentiation
  5. Understand the development of embryo
  6. Learn how the organ formation takes place
