Course Objective
1. To enable the students to learn the basic concepts of neurobiology
2. To explain the cellular and molecular structures of the nervous system
3. To learn the molecular mechanisms of synaptic transmission.
Course Content
This course includes the general organization principles of the nervous system and the neurons, brain physiology and introduction to neural circuits, the nervous system and its properties, ion channels that create membrane potential, the passive and active electrical properties, the synaptic transmission to neural cells and muscles, the neurotransmitters and their release.
