Course Objective

To ensure that the students gain basic genetics background at a theoretical as well as a practical level.

To train the students for understanding Mendel's law

To enable students to learn heredity

To teach the students to have the capability to solve the basic problem in genetics. 

Course Content

This course includes the history of Genetics, cell divisions, mendel's laws, basic genetic principles, and heredity.

Required Resources

Concepts of Genetics, William S. Klug, Michael R. Cummings, Charlotte A. Spencer, Michael A. Palladino, Global Edition.

Rules

All students are required to attend 70% of the theoretical course and 80% of the laboratory.
