Course Objective

To provide students with the necessary technical and theoretical knowledge to make informed color decisions in their professional practice.

Course Content

The course provides students with fundamental knowledge of color theory and the use of color in architectural spaces. Topics include vision and color perception; two- and three-dimensional color systems; principles of color mixing; the relationship between light and color; general principles of color composition; principles of color design for interior spaces and building façades; theoretical studies based on the Munsell Color System; and the analysis of color design examples.
