Course Objective
This course is intended to provide an overview of the interdisciplinary field of ergonomics. Attention is devoted to provide the students with an in-depth understanding of the underlying principles of this discipline, ergonomics considerations in design/redesign, and research basis of ergonomics

Introduction to ergonomics, information ergonomics, human-computer interaction, engineering anthropometry, physical ergonomics, cumulative trauma disorders, hand tool design, occupational biomechanics, manual material handling

Course Learning Outcomes
- The definition, scope and related disciplines of ergonomics, explain the ergonomic approach and the main application areas of ergonomics.
- different dimensions of ergonomics, understand the importance of and integrating all independent factors for the safety and effectiveness of the individual.
- Defines the relationship between man-machine systems in business systems.
- Physical environmental conditions: Lighting, noise, vibration, climatic conditions to understand ergonomic design applications
- To be able to define human and energy requirements in terms of ergonomics
- learn the concept of anthropometry
- Understanding ergonomic work and workplace regulation.
- Recognizes the use of ergonomic hand material; define tools and equipment, accidents and safety concepts
- Recognizing the concept of ergonomic seating.
