Course Objective
The aim of this course is to teach students the principles of work study and work design, enabling them to analyze, improve, and standardize processes by applying techniques in this field. Students will learn to optimize work processes and enhance system safety using problem-solving tools and time study methods, while also developing the ability to devise practical solutions that increase efficiency. Additionally, the course supports students in planning, implementing, and effectively presenting the outcomes of work study projects.
Course Content
This course teaches industrial engineering students the principles of work study and work design. Students learn and apply techniques for analyzing, improving, and enhancing the efficiency of work processes. The course content covers work analysis methods and problem-solving tools, operational analysis and work design principles, time studies, performance evaluation, and the use of standard data. Additionally, topics such as learning curves, predetermined time systems, and work sampling are addressed. Key components of the course also include designing efficient work environments within the framework of safety and ergonomics, tracking standards, evaluating process efficiency, and developing skills in project implementation and reporting.
