Course Objective
The Creative Writing course aims to raise awareness about the nature and importance of writing skills, introduce the scientific foundations and characteristics of different approaches to writing education, and provide knowledge and experience regarding creative writing and how this approach can be used and evaluated in schools. Another objective of this course is to contribute to the development of students' own writing skills through conceptual and theoretical knowledge and practical applications.
Course Content
Within the scope of creative writing techniques, various methods and techniques will be used to eliminate writing anxiety, fear, and preconceptions about starting to write by using imagination, and ways of expressing feelings and thoughts through different genres will be conveyed. Students will learn about creative writing through written narrative evaluation criteria before, during, and after the writing process. Students will analyze various fictional texts in terms of their structural elements and will work on writing a fictional text.
